6G Enabled Communications -- IEEE Communications Society Advanced Communications and Webinar was successfully held

On September 17, the IEEE Communication Society Frontier Communication and Networking Seminar was held in Crowne Plaza Zhongguancun, Beijing. The conference was hosted by IEEE Communication Society and hosted by Tsinghua University and Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Under the general background of the forefront of 6G development in 2030, the experts present at the meeting jointly discussed the current situation and development trend of cutting-edge communications and networks. Lu Jianhua, Deputy Director of NSFC, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Professor of Tsinghua University delivered a speech at the opening ceremony; Professor Shen Xuemin, President of IEEE Communication Society, Academician of the Canadian Academy of Sciences, and Foreign Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered an online speech; Long Guilu, Professor of Tsinghua University, Liu Jianwei, Professor of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Ai Bo, Dean of School of Electronic Information Engineering of Beijing Jiaotong University Peng Mugen, Dean of the School of Information and Communication Engineering of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Niu Zhisheng, Professor of Tsinghua University, Chen Shanzhi, Vice President of China Information and Communication Technology Group Co., Ltd., Song Lingyang, Professor of Peking University, Zhang Jianhua, Professor of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Cheng Xiang, and Zhong Caijun, Zhejiang University, attended the seminar and made thematic reports. The seminar was co sponsored by Professor Zhang Wei of the University of New South Wales, Associate Researcher Jiang Chunxiao of the School of Information of Tsinghua University and Professor Bai Lin of the School of Cyberspace Security of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.



        In his speech, Academician Lu Jianhua, starting from the three key words of "frontier", "communication and network" and "discussion", combined with the development blueprint of the 14th Five Year Plan for the Development of Information and Communication Industry, encouraged experts to face the major national needs and industrial applications, "stand on tiptoe" to do research, "study real problems" and "real research problems", and promote the deep integration of animal networking, big data, artificial intelligence and communication industry, Use the current 5G and future 6G Internet new technologies to comprehensively promote the development of traditional industries and "revitalize communications".



The seminar was co sponsored by Jiang Chunxiao, Associate Researcher of School of Information of Tsinghua University, and Bai Lin, Professor of School of Cyberspace Security of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Professors from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Zhejiang University, and the Vice President of China Information and Communication Technology Group Co., Ltd. were invited to make thematic reports to share academic and industrial cutting-edge developments. Finally, Zhang Zhaotian, the former Executive Deputy Director of the Information Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, made a concluding speech, hoping that with the joint efforts of all experts and scholars, the interdisciplinary integration model of collaborative development of industry, university and research could be further deepened, and contribute to China's industrial development. The seminar was hosted by Professor Zhang Wei, Vice Chairman of IEEE Communication Society and Professor of the University of New South Wales.



Long Guilu, Professor of Tsinghua University, gave a report on the theme of "Principles and Development Status of Quantum Direct Communication". He introduced the principles and research progress of quantum direct communication, and raised open issues for future security challenges.


 


The theme of the report by Professor Liu Jianwei of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics is "Status quo and key technologies of aerospace information network security". He introduced the development status of aerospace information network at home and abroad, typical attack methods, key technologies and future development direction.



Professor Ai Bo of Beijing Jiaotong University gave a report entitled "6G intelligent high-speed railway". Focusing on the main scenarios and businesses of intelligent transportation in the future, he highlighted the key technologies of 6G applicable to intelligent high-speed railway, and pointed out the challenges currently faced.



Peng Mugen, a professor of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, delivered a report entitled "Deep Integration of 6G Communication Aware Computing: Theory, Architecture and Technology". He mainly introduced the research status of communication perception integration and communication computing deep fusion, and elaborated the key technologies such as synaesthesia fusion management.


 


Professor Niu Zhisheng of Tsinghua University gave a report entitled "Mobile Enhanced Edge Intelligence of Smart Green 6G Network". He pointed out in the report that the key technology uses renewable energy for power supply, which provides new ideas for realizing green communication.


 


Chen Shanzhi, Vice President of China Information and Communication Technology Group Co., Ltd., delivered a report entitled "C-V2X Internet of Vehicles Enabling Intelligent Driving and Intelligent Transportation". The report analyzes the problems existing in single car intelligence, and points out that C-V2X can realize from single car intelligence to network connected intelligence, enabling intelligent transportation and intelligent driving.



Song Lingyang, a professor of Peking University, gave a report entitled "Reconfigurable holographic surface: a new paradigm of 6G holographic communication". In his report, he pointed out that the reconfigurable holographic surface can significantly improve the data transmission rate.



Zhang Jianhua, professor of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, delivered a theme report entitled "New Design Paradigm for 6G Smart Simple Network: From Offline Channel Modeling to Online Prediction". She introduced the development trend and challenges of the 6G channel model and gave a 6G network design architecture based on online channel prediction.




Cheng Xiang, a professor of Peking University, delivered a keynote report entitled "Internet of Vehicles and Connected Vehicles: Deep Integration of Network and Intelligence". He pointed out that the integration of communication and perception is the core technology of the future Internet of Vehicles and connected vehicles.



Zhong Caijun, a professor of Zhejiang University, delivered a report entitled "Design and Optimization of Multi antenna System Based on Deep Learning". He focused on how to use deep learning to solve the high complexity problems faced by the design and optimization of traditional multi antenna systems.



Finally, Zhang Zhaotian, the former executive vice director of the Information Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, delivered a closing speech and made a summary and comments. He hoped that all experts would strengthen exchanges and cooperation while deepening their efforts in this field, deepen the coordinated development of industry, university and research, and continue to provide intelligent support for the development of the country's modern industry.
